Located near the main train station and the River Main, the villa offers a pleasant living experience thanks to its unique, beautiful architecture and thoughtful design.

History

Our villa combines historic charm with impressive architecture. Once the city residence and luxury villa of a leather goods manufacturer, it is now a listed cultural heritage property in the heart of Offenbach. Surrounded by a well-maintained park and defined by neo-baroque elegance, it offers a truly unique living experience in a setting rich in history.

Sustainable Living Since 2007

For more than a decade, we have been committed to environmentally friendly living concepts and the development of sustainable accommodation. What began as Offenbach’s first eco shared-living project has evolved into a forward-looking model for responsible living.

The villa was completed in 1904 for the leather goods manufacturer Friedrich Leissler, designed by architect Max Schröder. The leather factory was located at the rear of the property, while sample rooms and storage areas were housed on the ground floor of the residence. Due to its exceptional architectural value and its almost unique state of preservation, the villa is considered an outstanding cultural monument.

Our villa is a representative manor house with a neo-baroque façade, located in the very center of Offenbach am Main. Formerly the city and luxury residence of a leather goods manufacturer, it stands today as a protected heritage property of great historical significance.

The 19th-century building is protected as a listed monument both inside and out and is recognized as an important cultural landmark of the city. It is surrounded by a well-maintained park and centrally located near the Old Catholic Church of Christ (Altkatholische Christuskirche), also designed by the villa’s architect, Max Schröder. Between the villa and the nearby church stands a high-rise bunker from World War II, built in 1942/43. The elongated bunker with a gabled roof was intentionally designed to influence the urban landscape, featuring a façade structured by round and square openings. It is one of only thirteen high-rise bunkers in the city of Offenbach. The first and second floors, including the piano nobile, feature wall paneling, ornate ceiling stucco, historic lighting such as French chandeliers and ceiling fixtures, as well as partially preserved original inventory and furniture. These elements reflect the historical charm of the era and transform the villa into a unique, museum-like living experience.

The Villa at Christmas

During the Christmas season, the villa welcomes guests in a particularly festive atmosphere. A 3-meter-tall Christmas tree stands in the foyer at the heart of the main staircase. Additional beautifully decorated Christmas trees can be found at the entrance to the piano nobile, near the fireplace on the first floor, in the former piano room adjacent to the conference rooms (which can be rented together), and on the third floor, the former servants’ quarters.

The Villa in Summer

The villa’s historic thick walls ensure pleasantly cool indoor temperatures even on hot summer days. In addition, fans are available in every room for ventilation. The green rooftop terraces can be shaded and benefit from natural air circulation thanks to the adjacent park with its abundant trees and greenery.

Nearby swimming lakes in eastern Offenbach, as well as the River Main to the north of the city, offer refreshing escapes and can be reached by bicycle within 10–15 minutes. Further details are available on the information maps displayed throughout the villa. A fully green inner courtyard provides shaded parking spaces for bicycles, motorcycles, and cars, as well as a seating area.

The Villa During Trade Fairs & Events

The villa is particularly well suited for corporate guests thanks to its excellent transport connections to the Frankfurt Trade Fair, which can be reached via public transport to Frankfurt Central Station in just 9 minutes. Tailored solutions for companies wishing to use the villa’s facilities are available upon request—simply share your requirements with us. Guests may use the parking facilities in the secure, camera-monitored inner courtyard with a separate gated entrance.

Additional conference rooms can be made available for corporate use. The piano nobile, including conference rooms, lounge area, rooftop terrace, and kitchen, can be used for a wide range of events such as readings, sofa concerts, seminars, family celebrations, workshops, product presentations, wine tastings, film productions and photo shoots, cooking shows, and culinary events.
